Engineering & Product Projects

My Innovation Journey

My professional work bridges the gap between software engineering, cloud architecture, and medical device innovation. With a foundational background in Biomedical Engineering, I approach software challenges with an analytical, user-focused mindset.

Below is a collection of key projects, ranging from clinical SaaS systems to hardware-integrated medical instruments and advanced biomaterial coatings.

Selected Works

DocHours: Cloud-Based Clinic Management Software

Product Leadership
Duration: 2024 – Present

As the Project Lead, I spearhead the roadmap, architecture, and developer workflows for DocHours. Key achievements include driving HIPAA-compliant data storage migration, developing an intelligent analytics dashboard, and building a customizable website generator to give medical practices instant online visibility.

Technologies: React, Next.js, Node.js, AWS Cloud, HIPAA Compliant Storage Architecture

Antimicrobial Nanofibrous Coating on Covalently Modified Titanium

M.Tech Project (CMC Vellore)
Duration: 1 Year

Conducted at the Centre for Stem Cell Research (CMC Vellore), this project focused on covalently modifying titanium surfaces and coating them with antibiotic-loaded nanofibers and natural antibacterial sericin. This enhances the antibacterial efficacy of orthopedic and dental metal implants.

Technologies: Electrospinning, Electrospraying, Biomaterial Characterization

Early Detection of Heart Attack by Segmentation of Coronary Arteries

M.Tech Project
Duration: 6 Months

Developed an image processing algorithm using Computed Tomography (CT) angiogram images to automatically segment coronary blood vessels and isolate blocks. Utilized Hessian-based Frangi Vesseleness filtering to identify vessel structures, median filtering for noise reduction, and custom block-encircling algorithms.

Technologies: MATLAB, Hessian-based Frangi Filtering, Median Noise-Reduction, CT Angiography

Medical Image Segmentation Using Contourlet & Watershed

M.Tech Project
Duration: 6 Months

A medical image processing project designed to segment ultrasound (US) kidney images to isolate key anatomical structures. Used Contourlet Transform combined with Watershed segmentation algorithms to overcome ultrasound speckle noise and extract highly defined regions.

Technologies: MATLAB, Contourlet Transform, Watershed Segmentation, Ultrasound Processing

FPGA-Based Automatic Drug Delivery System

B.Tech Project
Duration: 1 Year

Designed and built an automated system for elderly care to deliver precise medicine dosages at set times. Family members configure the dosage and timing via a PC interface, which transfers data to the FPGA. Built-in alarms continue until the patient manually deactivates them after receiving the dose.

Technologies: FPGA, VHDL/Verilog, Assembly (8085), GPRS Modems, Real-Time Clock, UART

In-Shoe Foot Pressure Monitoring System

B.Tech Project
Duration: 6 Months

Co-developed an in-shoe sensor array system to measure and monitor pressure at the heel and toe of patients. High sustained pressure is a major precursor to diabetic foot ulcers, which are difficult for patients to sense due to neuropathy. The system provides real-time warnings to prevent amputations.

Technologies: Pressure Sensors, Microcontrollers, Assembly (8085), Java (Display Interface)
